"A renaissance is beginning in downtown El Paso and we are going to catalyze this momentum with espresso, media, and ongoing discussion about the new dynamics emerging in our community.” ~SVS

september 25: beck at the percolator

Smith, Villescas & Sandoval are three former expatriates who have partnered to promote El Paso culture through a downtown café and theater on Stanton Street.

  • Bobby Smith, Restaurateur (The Percolator)
  • Joseph Villescas, Investigator (Villescas Research, Media & Instruction)
  • Valentin Sandoval, Filmmaker (Blackbird Concepts)

“Each of us graduated in the nineties from local high schools, explored the country for a number of years, and created a business in El Paso around 2007,” recalls Villescas. “In late September we partnered to promote several intersecting projects linked to local politics, music, downtown development, and discussions about what the future will hold for our entire community.”
